Molecular Devices™ Clone Select Imager
You rely on your equipment. Your equipment should rely on ATG.
At Analytical Technologies Group, we keep your Molecular Devices CloneSelect™ Imager operating at peak performance. By focusing on this advanced monoclonality imaging platform and maintaining a robust inventory of service parts, we deliver fast, dependable support that keeps your cell line development workflows moving without delay.
Systems like the CloneSelect Imager require specialized expertise—accurate monoclonality verification and high-resolution imaging cannot afford downtime. Even small performance deviations can disrupt timelines and compromise critical decisions. Thousands of researchers rely on ATG to keep their imaging systems running flawlessly. Yours should too.
Tips for keeping your Molecular Devices™ Clone Select Imager in good working order:
The machine should be cleaned each day using 80% ethanol or dilute detergent and a lint-free cloth.
Organic solvents and abrasive cleaners should not be used, as they will damage the cover.
CloneSelect Imager must be connected to a properly earthed power outlet to protect users from the risk of electric shock. The main chassis of the machine is earthed together with all associated electrical components. Do not remove any of the fixed covers, as there are no user serviceable parts inside.
If any of the external covers on CloneSelect Imager are removed the power supply is not automatically interrupted. If it is necessary to remove any of the external covers you must ensure that the power is switched off first and do not attempt to use the robot until the covers are replaced.

Molecular Devices™ Clone Select Imager Troubleshooting Tips:
Colonies Not Detected or Counted Incorrectly:
Check that the plate template matches the actual plate type (well number, format).
Verify colony size and density fall within detectable limits — too small or overlapping colonies can be missed.
Adjust detection thresholds in the software; low contrast or faint colonies may need higher sensitivity.
Image Appears Out of Focus:
Ensure the plate is correctly seated and flat; warped plates can cause focus issues.
Run the autofocus routine on a reference well to check for Z-drift.
Check for condensation or scratches on the plate lid affecting image clarity.
