We are able to perform rapid repairs due to keeping parts on hand and having only the most knowledgeable field service engineers. See why over 2000 customers trust ATG to ensure their instruments have a long, productive life.

Tips for keeping your AKTA go™ in good working order:

  • Clean the instrument externally when required. Do not allow spilled liquid to dry on the instrument. Use a cloth and a mild cleaning agent or 20% ethanol.

  • Perform a system Cleaning in Place (CIP) when required, for example between runs where different samples are used. This is important to prevent cross-contamination and bacterial growth in the instrument.

  • Replace pump rinsing liquid once a week if you are using 20% ethanol, or daily if you are using an aqueous buffer.

See the user manual for more information. Misplaced your manual? We’ve got you covered.

AKTA go™ Troubleshooting Tips:

  • If there is a spike in the UV system, replace the flow restrictor back in the flow path after the Conductivity monitor, or prime the inlets and purge the pump.

  • If the pressure alarm is issued, lower the flow rate or replace the tubing.

  • If you are facing difficulties connecting to the system, make sure the instrument IP address and the computer IP address are on the same subnet.

  • If the pressure is unstable, there might be air in the pump. prime the inlets and purge the pump.

  • If you cannot power on your system, check the fuses located adjacent to the main power inlet. Disconnect the instrument from power, use a flat-head screwdriver or other thin, study object to open the fuse cover, then manually remove the fuses. If either fuse is blown, it is recommended to replace both. The fuses are T4AL 250 V, 5 × 20 mm.
